Freight Claims and Returns
PLEASE REFUSE ANY DAMAGED GOODS. If you choose to accept something that arrives damaged, RiteScreen requires photos be taken of damaged items for credits and claims processing. It is the goal of Rite Screen to get the freight that our customers order to them in the condition that it was manufactured in. Occasionally damages occur with any shipping company and because of this it was necessary for Rite Screen to create this policy regarding lost and damaged freight. It is the policy for RiteScreen to remake lost or damaged items at no charge to the customer providing that the customer does his/her part to mark the delivery receipt properly. Failure to note the delivery receipts properly will result in remake charges to our customers. Any damaged item should be refused, if you are choosing to keep any damaged items, please follow the procedure below:
If there are any shortages in this shipment or holes in the packaging of this shipment. The receiver must mark the purchase order, the line number and the quantity of the items in question and state whether the product has been lost or is damaged in any way. Failure to properly mark the paperwork may result in a denial of a freight claim for Rite Screen and a credit loss for the consignee. Signing the paperwork “Subject to Inspection” will not be sufficient. Photos must be taken of the damaged items and must be sent to the above addresses. Failure to note damages and shortages will result in an unrecoverable loss for the consignee.
Concealed damages must be reported to Rite Screen within 48hrs of delivery so that a freight claim can be processed. Most carriers only allow a small window of opportunity to have companies file for concealed damage claims and then they may only grant a partial reimbursement. This is why Rite Screen will only allow a 48 hr period of submission for concealed damage freight so that we have time to process the paperwork in a timely fashion for a full refund. Failure to notify Rite Screen about concealed damages will result in an unrecoverable loss for the consignee.
Shipping Policy (for consumers only):
All orders are processed within 24-48 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped with tracking information. Lead times are dictated by product type, i.e. custom, made-to-order (MTO) products vs. finished goods inventory. Custom, MTO product lead times range from 5-15 business days. Finished goods product lead times range from 2 to 5 business days.
Domestic Shipping Rates and Estimates
For calculated shipping rates: Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Currently, shipping is charged at 15% of the product cost. Alternatively, some products can be purchased through Amazon Buy with Prime. With this feature, you will checkout through Amazon’s payment gateway, and your order is sold by RiteScreen, but fulfilled by Amazon for free or at no charge as long as you’re an Amazon Prime member.
